An 18-year-old who was a dirt bike rider known as “Biker Boy Sean” was gunned down Sunday night in West Baltimore.
Police said they were called to the 3700 block of Edmondson Avenue at about 9:41 p.m. and found Sean Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken for treatment to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead. No possible motive or additional details were provided.
Members of the city’s dirt bike community began posting tributes to Williams, who school officials confirmed was a student at Frederick Douglass High School. His mother also apparently logged into his Instagram page, where he has more than 35,000 followers, and posted a picture of him kissing her on the cheek. “Son, I am gonna miss you. … God needed you as an angel,” the caption reads.
In 2016, Williams made a cameo in a music video for the rapper The Game that was filmed in Gilmor Homes and has been viewed 9 million times on YouTube. He can be seen popping a wheelie on a dirt bike during one of the scenes.
Riding dirt bikes in Baltimore is illegal, and police have been cracking down. In April, Williams pleaded guilty to a gun charge and was sentenced to five years, with all but four years and three months of that time suspended. He was released from jail on June 9, but then last week he was picked up on a warrant for a December theft charge and released on $20,000 bail.
Another man who was well known in the dirt bike community, 24-year-old Greg Manuel, was fatally shot earlier this month in East Baltimore.
Baltimore police were also investigating a double shooting in northern Baltimore overnight that wounded two women.
At about 2:10 a.m., a 32-year-old woman was shot in the right arm and abdomen, and an 18-year-old woman was shot in the back in the 500 block of Sheridan Avenue in Woodbourne-McCabe, police said.
According to police, detectives at the scene were unable to get any cooperation from witnesses, or from the victims.
