Drunk man on bicycle hits parked police cruiser in Guelph – Kitchener-Waterloo

A 35-year-old Guelph man faces a number of charges after police say he drunkenly rode his bicycle into a parked police cruiser.

Just before 3 a.m. on June 17, police said an intoxicated man was seen on a bicycle swerving back and forth and he pedalled eastbound on Waterloo Avenue.

The man ran into the marked cruiser, which was parked on the road, and broke the vehicle’s taillight. The man then fell off the bicycle, but he was not hurt in the collision or subsequent fall.

The cyclist has been charged with drug possession, careless driving, riding a bike at night without a light and horn and failing to identify himself.
